When the ocotillo, saguaro and mesquite are your nearest neighbors, creating a luxurious master-bath sanctuary in full view of the flora one has to include organic elements. The client chose this location for their custom home because of its proximity to some of the most beautiful natural landscape in the world. Translating nature into elegance was the challenge for this project.

Certainly when someone thinks of a master bathroom, they envision lavishness and self-indulgence. At first glance, the rugged outcropping just beyond the bathroom windows didn't kindle thoughts of sophistication. Yet that mound of rocks did become the inspiration. The neutral color palette, smooth stone and richly, detailed wood used for this space was naturally beautiful yet decidedly opulent. And nothing is more romantic and luxuriant than a claw-foot tub. The addition of the Roman style tub filler, just one of many details, delivers luxurious splendor day after day.
