SMALL KITCHEN REMODEL
Our client has a passion for color and texture, so mixing materials was part of the fun. Her home reflects a lifelong love of pottery and the cultural artwork she’s collected from travels around the world. The goal was to honor the home’s original character while updating its function and finishes.
Quirky elements in the kitchen were cleverly concealed by designing custom cabinetry that worked around these challenges. One of the most beloved features of this beautiful river home is the floor-to-ceiling brick fireplace. We designed open-back glass cabinets to showcase the brick from the kitchen, while a custom bookcase serves as a subtle divider between the two spaces.
Blending bold tile, warm and painted wood tones, and a striking granite maintains an organic feel with an artistic flair. Carefully designed tall cabinets tucked beneath the staircase optimize storage and add a custom touch to the pantry. Together, we pushed creative boundaries to create a home that feels uniquely hers.
