Ballard Master Shower
With only 52 square feet of space for this bathroom off the master bedroom and the knowledge that most of the budget was going towards repairing the water damage hidden behind the walls. Our prime objective was to make the room clean, light, and airy while increasing storage while our secondary objective was to bring an effective heat source to the room.
For goal one, we selected a simple off white large scale porcelain tile for the walls and floor with a 4" x 4" companion tile for the curbless shower. The only color comes from a few accessories (admittedly color of shampoo bottle varies) and the natural bamboo vanity and medicine cabinet where we maximized its utility by incorporating LED lighting into the top rail.
For the second objective we removed a barely functioning baseboard heater and installed a heat mat which has makes early morning showers much more pleasant as long as one doesn't trip over the cat who staked out the floor as his new territory as soon as the electric was switched on. As the homeowner says the newly remodeled bathroom is now the warmest room in the house.
