Basement "Addition" (crawl space conversion)

This homeowner has a very rural home, tucked away on a very private piece of land with a great view of a lake and the family's land. They are a young family and are quickly outgrowing this mid-century ranch home. After talking to several designers about possible ways to add a 2nd floor, or a master suite on the back side of the home, Steve was brought in to help solve their problems. A 2nd story addition is not feasible, and a master suite addition would turn eliminate the wonderful views of the property. After several design discussions, it was clear that that the best way to add family living space was to convert their crawl space (already very tall) to a basement, and add new stairs.

The project is in early design phase.
