Big Changes Can Be Economical

What a wonderful spruce up to a perfectly working kitchen that had become dated. Using a resonably priced clean white cabinet and some very nice white granite and brightening up everything with a fun bright green apple paint, we were able to make a big difference in look and storage and stay within a budget.

We've added height to the kitchen and more storage, the pot and pans drawers give better access for storage, there is great length of counter space, lots of light shines into the kitchen and this combines well with the bright paint that livens up the fresh white cabinetry.

Where there was originally just a blank wall, here we have just added some shallow base cabinets, adding storage but also pulling the kitchen together so it is a square and not just an L. The bright color paint gives the kitchen character and makes the pure white cabinet stand out.

The original kitchen had very little access to the corners, here was added a lazy susan on the bottom cabinet and a diagonal cabinet on the upper corner. The upper cabiners are higher and it makes the whole room look taller.
