Pulling It Together

There was a built in pantry that we covered and added flutes and cabinet doors so the refrigerator was in a run of cabinets instead of sitting alone by the closet pantry.

Dropping just one leg of this island openned up the island to the breakfast table, creating a feeling of more space. This angle shows how the refrigerator wall was made more substancial by adding cabinet doors and fluting to the pantry.

A pantry sat alone off to itself on the side of this kithen, leaving the refrigerator to look like an afterthought. By covering the opening of the pantry with cabinet doors and adding large flutes to either side, it not only dressed it up but made the refrigerator look more a part of the kitchen.

Looking down this wall you see how the cabinetry staggers both up and down and in and out. The glass doors and open bookcase area add dimension to the length.

Here is where we lowered part of the knee wall to create a space open to the breakfast room. This also doubles as a small buffet area.

The slightly diffused glass cabinets add a break in the run of cabinetry and allow space for added color and a way to show off some delightful accent pieces. The microwave is installed at a convienient level over the range.
