Biscay Remodel

This client approached us with a great idea of what they had in mind for their home remodel, but lacked the experience with a remodel and the necessary trades to execute. They took it upon themselves to do most of the demolition work themselves in order to save money. Before, the kitchen was dark and dingy and was in need of a major face life. Our starting point in this kitchen was with the selection of the gorgeous black slate floors; from there we knew the existing granite tops were staying. We selected a dramatic contrast, two toned kitchen cabinet and a soft limestone backsplash to tie everything together. The master bath was a full gut, except the existing mirror that the client rather enjoyed. We opted for a larger master bath tub/shower combination and selected a dramatic, high shade variation porcelain tile. In the guest bath, we chose the same black slate for the floor and added some spunk with bright yellow cabinets. We kept the shower surround and countertops neutral so the floors and the cabinets would stand out.
