Brooklyn Townhouse

When the client for this townhouse project went through our library with Lucy they became inspired by the eclectic homes of several artists and fashion designers. Our concept reflected the client’s deeply personal take on the story for her home: organic shaped furniture, a mix of time periods, patterns and unique palette weaving neutrals and rich colors together. The client had just finished a gut renovation that restored the historic details of the townhouse, highlighting a beautiful wooden stair and baseboard and molding throughout.

Our approach was to combine eclectic and casual pieces from many different time periods so the assemblage would reflect the uniqueness of each piece. In the ground floor entry we paired a vintage plaster console from Miami with a bright pink side chair from Pamono and a table light designed by Michael Anastassiades. In the living room we placed a serpentine sofa, and a vintage B & B Italia coffee table with a vibrant rug from Studio Four. In the dining room we paired vintage dining chairs we found in Amsterdam with a farm table and a Milo Baughman burled wood vintage buffet from San Francisco. Upstairs in the master bedroom we paired a rice paper Noguchi floor lamp with lacquered bedside tables from Lawson Fenning and paisley printed Osborne and Little fabric pillows.
