This project was a whole home renovation. Moving the stairs was key to making this work. Originall the stairs split the house in half front to back. Moving them to the side gave an an open space to work with. We also converted smaller bedrooms into one larger master. It is a common thought to gain more space you need an addition and really it is about repurposing the existing space. Flush beams create a lot of options. this is part of a whole home renovation. This home has a lot of custom millwork. The kitchen is a light grey, the island and family room cabinets are a charcoal stain, which we reused on the stairs, basement bathroom, bar and entertainment area. The doors have a bevel edge rather than the straight shaker style, which still give a clean line but honestly easier to keep clean. We did the design build and decorating for this job, complete with custom furniture.
