Cheesbrough Bath Remodel

This bath remodel is one of several projects we did for the Cheesbroughs. It's one of the prettier baths I've remodeled. Elizabeth did all the color selections herself, and perhaps that's why it came out so well. The bathtub was old, the fixtures tired and the vanities were too low for the tall adults using them. In value engineering this project, we decided to keep the existing cabinets and spend the budget on extensive tile and glass block panels. We built a base platform to raise the vanity cabinets so that their tops were at 36" above finished floor.

Undermount sinks in a quartz top brought the vanity area up to date, and added recessed can lights helped the overall ambient lighting. Gene Penner, who was on the cover of 5280 magazine as one of Denver's top craftspeople, hung the floral wallpaper. Joe Leo, who learned the craft of building glass block panels from his dad on the South Side of Chicago, performed his usual magic.
