Opperman Bath Remodel
The lady of this household had been in a car accident and needed hydrotherapy. The problem was that she was too tall for a standard 5' tub. The solution? Buy a longer, jetted tub, turn it 90 degrees to the original orientation. Cabinet doors at the room-facing end of the new tub give the tub a finished look while allowing access to the tub's heater and pump. A glass block panel replaced a solid wall bounding the shower, thus daylighting the shower area. A wall niche allowed floral decoration, and a custom bevel-edged mirror added elegance. This project also won a CARE Award (Colorado Awards for Remodeling Excellence).
