This open-plan one-bedroom apartment is a modern urban retreat for the homeowners and their young adult children to stay when they visit Boston. The entry foyer features a long cabinet which houses two sleeping berths to create extra accommodations for visitors. Each birth has its own book shelf, lighting, and privacy curtain. The main living space consists of a living room and kitchen which are oriented to maximize the stunning view of the city. A folded sheet aluminum was used to create a vertical wall unit of shelving which serves as an office and shelf space. The bedroom has a wonderful northerly view of the city’s business district.
