Outermost

This tree house rafts in the canopy of the oaks and foliage indigenous to the area. On approach, after a long winding drive through the woods, you encounter a simple yet revealing box containing the bedrooms, baths, entry and mudroom, acting as a foil to the open glass saltbox structure that lies beyond. Here the living functions are arrayed from south to north culminating with the private master bedroom on the north end of the house. Sunlight and view are maximized in this vaulted ceiling space which gestures towards the ocean view and landscape. A corresponding suspended deck connects to each public function within this open structure, similar to a pontoon on an outrigger canoe.
