Colonial Heights

For this Colonial Heights townhouse in SE Portland, we proposed opening the cramped, segmented Kitchen to create a light-filled space with added counter space and storage. We removed multiple walls and relocated a powder room to create unobstructed views from the living area through the kitchen to the dining space. The open concept plan proved perfect for our clients, who enjoy cooking and entertaining. On the upper floor, we renovated the master bath with new finishes, fixtures, and a custom vanity.

The focal point of the French inspired kitchen is the Rully range by Lacanche in a minty green color. Pattern is introduced with the Benton Braid mosaic backsplash by Ann Sacks. The stainless steel range hood is custom from Ventahood.

The extended height of the custom cabinetry offers added storage opportunities. Glass doors display the client's colorful cookbooks and serving dishes. The kitchen cabinetry is painted Benjamin Moore White Dove.

A sectional with upholstered ottoman and a pair of armchairs offer an inviting seating area in the open plan.

The client's existing art inspired the color palette for the living room. The walls are painted Benjamin Moore Grey Owl and the red chairs are covered in a Kravet fabric.

A custom niche holds an narrow GE microwave. The drawer pulls and knobs are satin nickel. The countertop is quartz.

The client's French poster collection inspired the Parisian theme to the remodel. A built-in bench with cushion and storage drawers provides additional seating off the dining area.

The bathroom was remodeled with a new shower and double sinks. The custom vanity is painted in Benjamin Moore Kendall Charcoal. The green subway tile backsplash by Ann Sacks adds a pop of freshness.
