The open kitchen was originally completely closed off from the rest of the house. Our clients are tall, and we designed the base cabinets to finish at 39” high. We had to build platforms for the range and dishwasher to fit at countertop height. The cabinets are custom rift cut white oak. The island countertop and backsplash is Carrara marble. We installed floating shelves for storage. The perimeter countertops are Pental Quartz. The pantry cabinet paint is Benjamin Moore Chelsea Gray. The Liebherr refrigerator is a relatively modest 30” wide.
