In this project I was hired to create and conceptualize color palettes for a client's dream kitchen build. The client came with an existing design plan, layout, and selections for appliances.

Focusing on accessibility, one main focus for this project was addressing potential migraine concerns within the kitchen. The original plan was to have an all white kitchen, but the client decided that was untenable. I worked to provide a handful of colorways that allowed the kitchen to remain bright and airy without contributing to worsening migraine.

A few solutions worth noting in this project go beyond colors and focus on finish selections: choices like low gloss countertops, matte kitchen cabinets, and light fixtures that work more as task lighting and do not provide a direct line of sight to the bulb all make a workspace friendlier for someone having a migraine, while ensuring the usability of the kitchen space for all other household members.
