Timing was the critical constraint for this project. Relocating to Michigan after living in Florida for 28 years this couple was downsizing to condominium living. However, they found their newly purchased unit plain, and generically traditional - far from the clean, contemporary, and inviting surroundings they desired.

Working with an empty condominium and a tight time table (they were movng from Florida in 6 weeks) this makeover began with a firm budget and a few sketches to establish the direction.

To transform the kitchen its traditional raised panel cabinet doors were simply replaced with flush doors and additional upper cabinets with glass doors were added along with a reworked peninsula and granite counters. New lighting, a new fireplace surround with glass shelving together with beautiful hardwood flooring unite and brighten the space.
