For this kitchen remodel, the overall look was the culmination of several smaller changes. A new, modern vent hood was added over the range, the solid cabinet doors were replaced by frosted glass, a tile backsplash including darker mosaic pieces were added to the wall behind the cooktop as accents, and a simple, black countertop was installed to balance out the bright wood finish of the cabinets and flooring.
