This client had an outdated kitchen with an L-shaped island that was not great for traffic flow. The Family Room was separated from the Kitchen which felt restrictive. The client wanted a contemporary look with modern accents of black and brushed gold against the white backdrop. The white cabinets brighten up the space considerably. Removing the wall between the Family Room and Kitchen created a more cohesive, open space. The new island shape became a sleek space for eating, food prep and entertaining. The coffee bar is the perfect spot for all the coffee gadgets and a microwave drawer. The black herringbone subway tile backsplash makes such a statement! What a transformation!
