Have a Master Bath with a jacuzzi tub you never use? These clients wanted to remove their jacuzzi tub to create a large, luxurious custom shower in its place. With a niche along the back wall that hides within the accent tile and a bench hidden behind the half wall, this age-in-place tile shower looks and feels like a spa. The dark of the accent tile and shower fixtures pop beautifully against the lighter, larger shower tiles to really draw you into the room. The clients wanted to replace the oak wood in the room, so we went with a dark but warm gray stain on cherry wood. The color of the stain coordinates well with the oak throughout the rest of their home and the cherry wood gives a richness to the gray they wanted to bring into the space. Adding a drawer to the center of the vanity created a "His and Hers" distinction, further expressed in the separation of the mirrors --both on the wall and the personal, swivel mirrors -- and the light bars above. The clients added gorgeous custom glass panels in their linen cabinet that creates a focal point as you enter the room, and ties in with the open, airy feeling of the high ceilings and glass panels for the shower. A lovely addition of a pull out laundry bin in the cabinet next to the shower is a perfect feature for hiding away any untidy piles. We think this Master Bathroom remodel is fantastic!
