I took an ugly drywalled-in corner fireplace and, designing collaboratively with the clients, built this cool corner built-in. The doors are birch plywood with push-to-open hardware. The cabinets are solid birch. Everything is custom built in place because all the angles involved were so irregular. Brick is 1/4" thick brick veneer that the clients found at a secondhand shop. Hearth is brick pavers from the same store. The fireplace itself remained unchanged.
