This project was for a 100+ year old cottage with many disjointed additions. When i started, the house had no kitchen. My team and i tore off the crumbling roof from one of the additions all the way to open sky, rebuilt an exterior wall, installed new windows, reframed the roof, added about R-45 of insulation to the roof and R-30 to the walls, installed a TPO roof, replaced rotten cedar shake siding and new wood trim outside, and then installed a new, environmentally-conscious kitchen inside including re-used cabinets, surplus tile, marmoleum flooring, energy-efficient appliances, and Mythic non-toxic paint.
