The Kitchen in this suburban Milwaukee stone colonial had been remodeled as part of a larger renovation in the 1990's and the space was beginning to show it's age. Replacing the failing appliances was a top priority for these homeowners as was a new space that would better accommodate their large family and their entertaining needs. The existing island was replaced with a larger gathering island and the sink and appliances were relocated to provide for a better orientation to the adjoining family room.
