“Cozy Hideaway”
From the get-go, our designer connected with this husband and wife duo with a great sense of humor. Their outdoor space, however, was no laughing matter. From the deteriorating wooden stairs, (that the owner broke her ankle on!) to the crumbling concrete patio, they knew it was time to bite the bullet and upgrade. The initial objective was to create just a functional space, but it eventually morphed into a perfect backyard retreat.
The beautiful rustic feel of Belgard’s Mega Libre pavers, Weston wall stone, and Danville Beige/Gascony Tan mix Granika steps, took this project to another level! When the installation of the main patio and steps was almost complete, the owners could finally see the forest for the trees. With the help of our designer and foreman, the team installed a secondary fire pit patio directly off of the stairs, creating the perfect focal point for a cozy, wooded hideaway. The stone-wrapped pillars provided the finishing touch, adding a grander feel and strength to the posts. The owners were so pleased with the finished product we are currently working on additional renovations that will wrap around the other side of the home in 2017.
