When our designer first met with this homeowner, she was only interested in updating the landscaping around her home. While performing the walkthrough on the property, the two came upon the crumbling concrete stoop. The owner expressed her disappointment, as this was the third time she had replaced the stoop and it still wasn’t holding up.

Our designer took to the drawing board, and suggested a custom-built retaining wall and paver stoop. Not only would the new design provide more durability, it would also transform this mediocre entrance into a warm and inviting first impression. The owner was sold! Our designer created a safe and open stoop using Belgard’s Weston stone wall block and Ashbury Haze, Hollandstone pavers. The new plantings created a more contemporary feel along the home’s foundation, and the vibrant amber red Crimson Queen Japanese Maple made a beautiful addition next to the stoop.
