Over the past several months, we have been developing a custom transformation and renovation project for a client that enjoys spending time at their mountain vacation home in Gaines, PA, Tioga County. The overall goal for the project was to convert the existing property into a permanent residence. The main emphasis was to keep & work with the existing 1½ story right wing, which had been previously added, and seamlessly integrate this area into the rest of the new renovations. The renovations include a beautiful new kitchen, eating area, and great room highlighted with timber accents and details. A new deck & screened in porch provide scenic outdoor living & several second floor bedrooms provide plenty of space for guests. To achieve one-story living, a master bedroom suite was also renovated into the first floor plan, and the newly added 3-car garage, mudroom, & main front entry helped transform the cabin into a very functional Craftsman-inspired lodge home.
