This contemporary craftsman table is a collaboration between Casey Cunningham (Associate Designer at LBI) and Bruce Tabor. The aesthetic focus was craftsmanship. The functional goal was to create a solid surface to place food and drinks while still utilizing the existing ottoman. This is a common goal in living spaces, but the exaggerated angle on the table edges combined with the hand carved dovetail joinery make this table a showpiece. We designed it to withstand the weight of people sitting on it so it can multitask as a hallway bench if the clients ever move or decide to change up their current furniture situation. It's crafted from mahogany with a hand rubbed finish to showcase the natural characteristics of the wood. It's a contemporary piece rooted in tradition.
