Memphis New Home

The clients expressed clear priorities for their contemporary new home. They desired quality, elegance, minimalistic design, and one over-riding focal point – the view of the lush golf course just beyond their back gate.
We achieved these goals in a number of ways. First, a monochromatic color palette offers a fresh and neutral backdrop for the large windows, and helps to maintain fluidity from room to room. Furniture selections are low and sleek, allowing for an un-obstructed view “through the house” and out to the 18th green. A natural quarter-sawn white oak floor carries through all of the community areas, and the clients’ collection of sculptures and paintings adds a hint of color and interest to each room without taking center stage.
Great care was taken in material selections for each room. Individual granite and stone slabs were chosen for the kitchen and for each bathroom countertop. A variety of glass and natural stone tiles accent every bathroom, and even the handicapped accessible guest bath is elegantly designed with an open-air shower and a sparkling sloped mosaic floor. Unique and artistic plumbing and light fixtures offer a fun surprise around every corner, and high-end kitchen appliances and an oversized center island make it easy to entertain family and friends.
The end result is exactly what the clients asked for – a sleek, elegant, oasis where they can relax at home, yet feel like they have escaped to their favorite golf resort.
