Our clients for this project had a modest but realistic budget, and a clear vision for an ecologically minded contemporary remodel. We collaborated with an engineer to open up the interior of their modest 1970’s ranch house, and strategically introduced daylight using exposed structural steel.

In addition to a ceiling fan in the dining area, the project included a whole-house fan located in the attic, which allows efficient overnight cooling during hot weather and minimizes use of air-conditioning.
