These homeowners had a dangerous situation on their deck; it had sunk to a very uneven level. Dave investigated the causes and determined that it was water run-off which had caused the support posts to sink, along with sub-standard footings being in place. The lower deck boards were removed, new footers poured for new support posts and the deck was raised back to its original position. Any future water damage risk was addressed with flashing and re-direction of run-off. A combination of keeping some of the existing elements, upgrading all structural, and blending it all together with a fresh look makes this project more affordable.
