Deep Valley Renovated Kitchen

Our clients came to us wanting to update their dark kitchen and open it up to the living room. Their cabinets were dark wood and wrapped around the kitchen, closing it off. There was a peninsula countertop splitting the breakfast table from the kitchen that they wanted to get rid of, as well as a built in hutch.

We demoed all of the cabinets, plumbing, lighting, flooring, and ceiling beams except for main beam that runs the length of the kitchen. Our clients wanted to open the kitchen up to the living room somewhat, but not completely. What was once a regular doorway into the living room, is now about a 10’ wide opening. The upper cabinets were removed, creating a large island between the kitchen and living room where the stovetop is located, The opening into the formal dining was also increased to 4’. We were able to build out a large pantry that is in the space that used to be the built-in hutch. The two existing windows in the kitchen remained the same but were framed out.

Calacatta Nouveau quartz countertops were installed in the kitchen with a beautiful back splash Arizona tile 1x4 glass shimmer pearl. The large appliances stayed in the same place except the double ovens, which ended up on the opposite corner of the kitchen, where the cabinetry was added. We used Benjamin Moore HC-143 Wyeth Blue (@ 75% or 50%) for a beautiful, peaceful blue kitchen. Earthworks Trinity Neutral TRI534 engineered hand scraped wood flooring was installed in the kitchen and also extended into the dining room, living room and entryway, making a seamless entry into each room off the kitchen. Our clients are so happy with their new beautiful kitchen.
