DILIDO

This 4 Bedroom, 6 bathroom home is one of Charlotte Dunagan’s newest projects, recently completed in Miami Beach; it’s a transitional home with clean lines and functional space at East Dilido Terrace, Miami Beach, Florida. Classic yet of the moment, this transitional design nimbly straddles the line between traditional and contemporary with a relaxed, inviting air that offsets streamlined furnishings and minimal accents. Simple but not austere, warm but not fussy, it feels both fresh and timeless. It includes strong contrasts created by the extensive mix of white paint and dark walnut millwork. The wonderful 5000 sqaure foot floor plan allows this young family to live in a wide-open space yet they have the option to enclose the kitchen and family room giving privacy when it’s needed. To integrate outdoor/indoor living the pool deck is an additional 1553 square feet.

Open concept living room is perfect for entertaining. Thanks to a molded ceiling detail, the bar area feels like a separate room.

Green pendant light complements white-and-green fabric on wingback chairs. The chairs are set in an extended area of the bar.

A set of antique wingback chairs reupholstered in bold white-and-green textile look fantastic against the white wall and green trees outside the window.

The house feels very open and simple yet suitable for entertaining. The banquette is covered in washable indoor-outdoor fabric.

The doors leading into the kitchen disappear, so you can have a great open space that connects the dining room, great room and bar.

Living spaces and furniture lay out set up in a way that the father can watch a movie on the couch while his wife is cooking, and the kids can be at the banquette doing homework and they can all see each other yet do their own thing.

Contrasting dark wood doors leading into the kitchen can close off any of the rooms.

Soft colors and textures in the bedroom continue the overall muted scheme of the house. The floor is covered in ipe wood (aka Brazilian walnut).

The master bathroom is entirely encased in marble with a living space within itself, it has a big couch with a television where the owners can relax and watch a movie.

Honed marble stone floors unite the spaces, and even the 1,500-square-foot pool deck is surfaced in the same stone, blurring the line between indoors and outdoors.
