We worked with the homeowners on this big project in the neighborhood of Douglasdale, Calgary, AB. The clients took on a renovation of the whole house. Our part was the kitchen, master bathroom, mantelpiece, the doors and trim all throughout the house. We are very pleased with how everything turned out. Let's take a closer look.
The kitchen is very clean and modern, with some open shelving and a free standing island. The clients wanted this option, if in the future they needed space to move appliances. There is a built in spice rack, which is conveniently located by the stove. The cookie tray cabinet is located above the fridge. We also added an under counter microwave build, hidden out of site, not taking precious counter space. To make every inch count, shelving was built off the ends of the upper and lower cabinets. All the cabinets are finished with Benjamin Moore's Chantilly Lace.
The mantelpiece in the living room is a true piece of local history. The reclaimed wood used to serve as a beam in an old railway dock.
Upstairs we have a laundry room, also with some useful floating shelves. There is a vanity we built for a guest bathroom. The master suite has a sliding mirrored door that leads into the beautiful bathroom. The vanity in the bathroom is furniture grade and together with the two floating shelves was custom stained in walnut color. Inside the upper cabinet there is a charging station for toothbrushes.
This home now looks brand new and we hope our clients will enjoy this space for years to come.
