Tuscany
The project in Tuscany was a very special one. We got to be a part of the homeowner's dream becoming a reality. Literally. Every part was very well thought through and planned to the smallest details by these homeowners. We started with the whole basement, turning it into an awesome place for kids and adults to hang out, get fit and have fun. The main floor and upstairs were updated and made more beautiful with custom built-ins. But let's take a closer look.
The basement is now a one of a kind place with an amazing gym, special place for kids to get creative and play and a theater with a wet bar right next to it. The whole space has special finishes like custom baseboards with hot air return covers, custom electrical box covers and a storage space under the stairs. The walls in kid's space are all different; one is a giant magnetic whiteboard, one is a cork with a bookshelf and an entrance into a hideout and one is a special-order wallpaper with a cool motive of the Wright brothers to inspire kid’s creativity. The theater room has a huge custom-made TV/speaker wall. The wet bar includes a wine rack, copper sink, natural stone backsplash and a leather textured granite countertop. There is a full bath with custom vanity and a shower with linear drain.
We built new railings and stairs all throughout the house combining wood and glass materials.
The kitchen cabinets got a facelift by refinishing in walnut. We did all new flooring, changing the builder grade floors to engineered white oak. We also upgraded all the trim and added solid wood passage doors in walnut. We built a new door leading from the mudroom to the garage. The mudroom got new custom built-ins as well as the front entrance. Here we made a new closet with bench and put some LED lights at the top of the closet for better visibility. The powder room on the main floor has a custom vanity with a special-order quartz sink.
The master bedroom walk-in closet was taken out and we built a special custom closet with all the space you could need to hang your clothes, put them on the shelves and in drawers or store your smaller items in custom drawers with built-in dividers. There is a custom built linen closet in the hallway and all three bedrooms also have custom closets. The two bedrooms for kids have a few special touches; the hardware on the closets (lizards, leaves and stars) and the light switch cover (dragons).
This was without a doubt one of those projects you never forget. We were so impressed with the client’s vision and how it all turned out exactly like they wanted. We couldn't be more proud and happy with the job well done.
