Whole house renovation! From soup to nuts -- the interior of this 1911 Craftsman gem had been stripped of every ounce of charm; only the original front door remained. Once we dealt with restoring the foundation and roof, we rejigged the floor plan, completely rearranging the rear area of the house so that the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms easily flow off the long center hallway. One bathroom became an ensuite to the Primary Bedroom, and the other was enlarged with a Hall entry, to serve as Guest Bathroom. The Laundry was relocated to its own large closet area off the hallway. Every door and many windows in the house were replaced, using salvage period sashes and doors, so that they look like they've always been there. The Kitchen got the Julia Chasman Design full treatment with all new custom cabinetry, a large center island, subway tile, Carrara marble counters, all new appliances, custom oven hood surround, vintage and modern lighting, and open shelving. Complete electrical, plumbing, HVAC, new flooring throughout, and all new lighting design completed this year-long job, finished in 2022.
