Westwood Tudor House
A full - gut renovation of a classic Westwood 1930's Tudor Revival house in the Little Holmby area of Los Angeles. We tore down a bad 70's addition to add back square footage to the large rear garden, and removed an enclosure that had been added to the rear exterior patio, restoring the original outdoor fireplace and seating area. We renovated the kitchen, taking out a wall between the breakfast area, and added a built-in banquette to the existing bay window, and installing all new appliances, cabinetry, tiles and hardwood flooring to match the rest of the house. The took our a maid's room and opened up walls to create a large family room, opening out to the back patio, and redecorated the existing home office. WE enlarged and redecorated the existing maid's bath to make it a large family bathroom and powder room for guests, removing a badly placed existing powder room. Upstairs we reconfigured the three bedrooms, and enlarged and redesigned the master bath, adding closet space as well. We redesigned and redecorated the children's Jack and Jill style bathroom. Decor included custom curtains and Roman shades in all rooms, as well as new furnishings and paint colors throughout. In Phase II (see update) we continued and completed the decor of the large living room.
