Fish Palace

In a privileged beach front location, this residential project is in placed with the main objective of enhancing a tight relationship between building and the sea. Not only in its peculiar fish like form, but also in the views and exterior opportunities to relate with the site. The semi curved shape of the project opens towards the sea embracing these concepts. The essence on this building lies more on an architectural sculpture rather than traditional palace, but without neglecting all the requirements of a residential project.

The approach to the main entrance over a water feature is the first expression of singularity of the project. Once inside, a complete panoramic view is reveled for all the public areas to enjoy. In a lower level all bedrooms and more private areas are located, also enjoying a close liaison with the exterior. Covered with an unusual and creative double skin, the enclosure of the palace becomes a quasi vernacular way of materializing fish scales. The final expression of the project leads the design away from the obvious figuration and skillfully achieving new architectural directions.
