This new modern contemporary house began construction at the end of 2016 and was completed at the beginning of June 2017. The house looks out over a picturesque cove. The small lot led to a compact building of less than 1000 square feet.
The outside of this house was clad with materials that are low maintenance and not susceptible to rot. The house includes a standing seam metal roof, composite trim and siding, Marvin Wood-Ultrex Integrity windows and doors, composite decking, and a stainless steel railing system. A Mitsubishi mini split heat pump unit provides the heating and cooling needs for the house.
The interior features clean and simple details. The kitchen cabinets (custom built in our cabinet shop) include a island with a bench seat with additional storage tucked underneath. The loft space is accessed by a 'ship's ladder'. The ladder is automated with a hidden motor located in the basement that raises or lowers the ladder at the touch of a button.
