This was a challenging kitchen! The customer wanted to expand the kitchen into their unused dining room, which meant we had to contend with difficult angles and windows that just wouldn't work in their current place. The customer was open to closing off windows, since the large windows in the dining room would now be visible. We also closed off their existing sliders to the backyard, which currently went nowhere. They do not have a deck or stairs to the outside so there was no use for them. As soon as we did that, we had some wall space to work with! We removed the banister that sat between the kitchen and the step down into the family room and replaced it with additional cabinetry and added a huge island to enable their family and their company to gather. This is truly an amazing "before and after" and was a lot of fun to watch it come together.
