The homeowners wanted to enlarge their bathroom and get rid of the garden tub that was rarely used. This is a very common complaint but with most garden tubs, we have windows above to contend with when re-designing the space. Fortunately the homeowners were willing to move the windows which allowed me to put an expansive shower where their tub was. We removed one window completely and created a transom window from the other, to allow some natural light to flow into the shower. We made up for the removal of the one window by adding another and we were left with a bright, functional layout. It turned out beautifully.
