The home commands superior view of the Coast Mountains. Its exposed hillside backyard in the absence of trees, however, affords no privacy to our homeowner friends. We brought in mature native trees and shrubs, broke down the utilitarian retaining wall to reveal the beauty of the destined waterfalls, and naturalized the landscape with more boulders and heather and mosses to make home for the hundreds of birds visiting from the nearby forests.

Now the home is awashed with sights and sounds of Westcoast nature.
