Front and Backyard Landscape Makeover

This landscape was completely overgrown and in decline when the clients called. I assessed the current landscape and recommended plant replacements that would remain smaller in stature and offer flowers throughout the year. The backyard had a beautiful view but they wanted to interrupt some sight lines for privacy without completely obstructing the view.

This is the backyard 4 months after installation. You can see the new flowing lines created by the bed shape and privacy breaks that will be gained by installing large trees that will not completely block the view of the retention area behind the house.

The large tree in the back corner of the backyard creates a lot of shade and required a different planting strategy using colorful sub tropical foliage plants adapted to shady conditions.
