For this charming property in the City of Sanford, the homeowner had some very specific requests. These included a connecting driveway of gravel from front to back, as well as a swale to handle rainwater runoff that pooled in various areas around the property. Before installing anything, we corrected the grade to direct runoff towards the backyard and then contoured a drainage swale to handle the rainwater. Then we installed the boulders and rock to transform the swale into a focal point: a dry river bed. This way it became an aesthetic feature in addition to a creative drainage solution. We finished the property with hardy Florida friendly plants, drip lines, gravel, and step stones connecting the living spaces.
