Our project goal was to create a backyard retreat that works in harmony with existing mature trees. We incorporated a multi-tiered deck to accommodate areas for both outdoor cooking and dining al fresco. We used natural flagstone for the pathway, which is accented with a paver edging. The circular fire pit is surrounded by newly planted purple-leafed redbud trees. We used a dry-stacked stone technique to create the curved bench. There are natural cedar accents and a custom gate featuring a stained glass window. Our clients loved how we transformed a relatively compact backyard into a serene refuge.
