This was a dated semi detached home in High Park, Toronto, begging for some fresh updates. we gutted the entire home BUT left original, foundational elements in the home so as not to strip it entirely of it's character. We left the original oak staircase, the brick fireplaces, the oak fireplace mantel and plaster ceiling medallions. The contemporary renovation worked around these older elements adding back in a bit of old to the new, which worked out very well.
