Mill Dam

This was a whole home renovation of a large bungalow comprised of a main floor and basement. We filled in part of the kitchen floor, as it looked over the basement family room, to create a much larger kitchen for the family.

Before, this was a very cramped sapce. The area where the table is was a balcony overlooking the basement family room. Closing this up gave us significantly more kitchen space for the family to enjoy. The industrial swivel stools are a great addition.

We were missing the custom cork board when we shot this photo, but this space was necessary for the homeowner, a busy mom and active volunteer.

We used a 33" fireclay porcelain sink from Franke. It's so wide and deep - perfect for all situations, very functional!

Finding this buffet and clock gave us the modern farmhouse look we were looking for. It's beautiful in the sitting room.

This gas fireplace was clad in reclaimed local barn board, but to meet the installation codes of the unit, we had to install a large surround - I chose rusted steel - and it came out beautifully.

As closet space in this bungalow was limited, we added a coat hanging wall between to existing doors. Doing this meant we could frame the mill work between door casing nicely, giving it a clean look. We also added a small ledge only wide enough to hold votives or small picture frames. But you could...
