Sleek & Functional: A High-Tech Laminate Kitchenette with Warm Brass Accents

This modern kitchenette is proof that a small footprint can still pack a design punch. Built in collaboration with Block Design Build, the space features our custom cabinetry in black Fenix laminate on Baltic birch — a durable, ultra-matte material that resists fingerprints and scratches, making it perfect for everyday use.

We kept things minimal and high-impact with integrated black ledge pulls and crisp lines throughout. The cabinetry serves as a bold focal point, balancing high performance with sleek, modern aesthetics.

To soften and elevate the look, we added a warm brass backsplash and matching wall sconces. These details bring a refined glow to the space and play beautifully off the dark, velvety cabinetry finish.

On the opposite wall, floating walnut shelves with brass brackets add just the right amount of natural texture and open storage. The combination of wood, metal, and high-tech surfaces makes the space feel layered and intentional, without any visual clutter.

Every element — from the materials to the layout — was designed and fabricated in-house by Boxco Studio. It’s a small but mighty example of how we blend beauty, function, and craftsmanship in our custom kitchen cabinetry.
