Ipe Deck Surrounding Beachfront Pool & Spa
In full sun, Ipe is probably the coolest surface for bare feet, and its durability is also unsurpassed in this environment.

The deck provides a lounging area with a chair rail to keep furniture from tipping off the edge. We are low enough to the ground that we don’t need a guard rail. Ramps lead to the dock as well as to the yard.
To avoid high tide and flooding problems, we use Bigfoot Concrete Footings, ground contact treated southern yellow pine framing, and Zmax Joist Hangers. All screws are stainless steel and concealed with wood plugs.
