Kerrisdale Residence

Our Design Build team innovated solutions to make this home feel bigger, brighter and welcoming.

The entranceway and gathering spaces were designed to feel open and welcoming. Our team engineered the home's structural beams to be hidden within custom millwork cabinets. The result is a seamless transition from one room to another and plenty of functional storage space. The custom millwork cabinets are beautiful in their own right, but the hidden refrigerator has become a favourite party reveal.

The original brick fireplace was kept intact throughout construction and its deep red hues are complemented by the home's overall contemporary design and furnishings.

The back entrance also saw a dramatic transformation. We doubled the width of the doorway and created a secondary back patio that is now perfect for backyard living. The exterior facade got a repaint and refurbishment, to feel brighter and more modern.

What makes a difference is the grand welcoming feeling when you step into the home. There is plenty of space for jackets and shoes, but the custom bench and open floor plan offers a calming and restful introduction to the rest of the home.
