Kitchen and Master Suite Renovation

Dark, chopped up rooms, and a backwards kitchen layout, presented a challenge for this young family. The creative vision by Jennifer Howard and the JWH Team transformed to space to meet all their needs.

The "food wall" includes a hidden pantry with sliding barn door, Thermador refrigerator, extra sink for the kids, and 24" refrigerator drawers.

The 48" range opposite the farmhouse sink works efficiently for mom/chef. Easy access to the full walk-in pantry and 42" Thermador keep kids out of the work zone.

Previously the main kitchen location, the new banquette area is bright, inviting and totally functional for this family with 3 young girls. Opening up the wall to the adjoining family room creates a great atmosphere for daily life and entertaining.

Rearranging the existing master suite resulted in an enlarged Master Bath and adjoining walk-in closet. The tall linen cabinet on the left separates the toilet area.

This area becomes the built-in banquette area in front of the sunny window.

Moving the doorway to the dining room allowed the new range area to be centered on a large central island. The cabinets along the rear wall turned into the walk-in pantry with sliding barn door, refrigerator location and kids' snack area/bar.

The working part of the kitchen flipped to this end of the room, better utilizing the long interior walls. Relocating the entry into the kitchen, and opening a connection with the family room, transformed this space.
